IMPORTANT INFORMATION

What you need to know

By booking with Eden Dress Hire, you agree to the following terms. These help to keep the hire process smooth and whilst ensuring the protection of our beautiful range.

In Store & Try-Ons

Our in-store try-ons are fun, relaxed, and the perfect way to find your dream dress.

  • Step 1: Browse our collection and select up to 4 dresses you'd like to try.
  • Step 2: Book a try-on session in our Port Macquarie studio
  • Step 3: Secure your appointment with a non-refundable $10 holding fee.

This amount will be deducted from your total hire price if you go ahead with a booking. Once paid, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details.

  • All bookings require a $10 non-refundable booking fee, credited toward your final hire if confirmed.
  • You may choose a 4-day or 8-day hire period at checkout.
  • We ask for 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
  • A $20 cancellation fee applies if this notice is not given, or the appointment is missed. Eden reserves the right to deduct this amount from your card.

Postal Orders – Security & Bond

To help protect our beautiful pieces and ensure your experience is secure:

  • All postal hires require a valid photo ID (e.g. driver’s licence) to be uploaded at checkout.
  • A bond deposit equal to the hire amount is required at the time of booking.
  • Your bond will be fully refunded once the dress is returned and has passed inspection.
  • Refunds are processed within 2–5 business days of receiving the returned item.
  • If the dress is returned late, damaged, or with excessive wear or staining, deductions may be made from the bond to cover cleaning, repair, or replacement costs.

Returns

In-Store Returns:

  • Return to: Studio on Clarence, Shop 3C, Quay North Building, 59 Clarence Street, Port Macquarie

Return hours:

o Monday to Friday: 10am–5pm

o Thursday: late returns until 7pm

o Sunday: 10am–3pm

  • Hang your garment on the gold rack marked "Eden Dress Hire" at the back of the store.


Postal Returns:

  • Use the Express Post satchel included in your delivery.
  • Lodge over the counter at an Australia Post outlet (not a drop box).
  • Must be posted by 4pm on your return date.
  • Late returns incur a $30/day fee.

Change of Mind & Store Credit

No refunds are offered for change-of-mind once a booking is confirmed.

  • For advance bookings (items booked before taken home), you may request a store credit or rebooking within 24 hours of placing your order.
  • To be eligible, contact the Eden team within that 24-hour window. After this time, no credits or changes can be applied.

Dress Care & Responsibility

  • Please avoid using spray deodorants while wearing hired garment/and/or spraying perfume directly on the garment.
  • If an item is returned stained or damaged beyond standard wear, a repair or replacement fee will apply.
  • Late returns that impact another customer’s booking may result in additional charges to cover lost income.

Payment & Fees

By hiring from Eden, you authorise us to charge your saved card for any applicable additional costs, including:

  • Late fees
  • Cleaning or repair costs
  • Replacement fees if necessary

T&C

Please carefully review these terms and conditions before using the services of Eden Designer Dress hire. By accessing and using any section of our website, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions set by Eden designer dress hire, kindly refrain from using our hire service. 

In consideration of the payment to be made by you and the agreements outlined within these terms and conditions, Eden designer dress hire undertakes to provide you with the selected item for rental purposes. By entering into this agreement, you acknowledge that you are renting the item for a specified duration, and the ownership of said item remains with Eden designer dress hire. 

To secure the hire of the item for a period of four days, you agree to make full payment of the hire price. Once the hire price has been paid in full and you have accepted these terms and conditions, you are not eligible for a refund of the hire price. Should you wish to cancel your hire purchase with Eden Dress Hire, it is essential that you notify us within 24 hours of hiring the item. If cancellation occurs within this timeframe and the hire item is returned to Eden Designer Dress hire, you will receive a credit note of the equivalent value, which does not expire. Alternatively you may opt to exchange the item for another within this period. Any price difference for the exchanged item will be required to be paid, and if the item is of lesser value, you will receive a credit note for the difference. 

Please be informed that Eden Designer Dress hire cannot assume liability for event cancellations or sicknesses that may occur. 

If you decide not to try on your hire item before purchase, it implies your acceptance of the item in its current condition. If the item does not fit you or you have a change of heart, the same 24-hour time frame applies to request an exchange or opt for an in-store credit. Please be aware that no refunds will be provided in such cases. 

By entering into this agreement, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for any loss, destruction, or damage to the hired item starting from the time of collection to the time of return. The confirmation of the item return is subject to Eden designer dress hire receiving the item in accordance to the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement. 

You acknowledge and agree that you are responsible for the loss or damages incurred to the item hired from the time of collection to the time of return. It is your responsibility to ensure that the item is kept in good condition and protected from any harm or damage during the rental period. The hired item will be considered returned only when Eden Designer Dress hire has physically received the item(s) in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in the agreement. 

You acknowledge and agree that you are fully liable for any damages caused to the hired item. Such damages include, but are not limited to, stains, colour distortion, tares, and smells that cannot be remedied. In the event of such damages, you will be responsible for paying either the full recommended retail price of the item or the total cost of repairing the damages, at the discretion of Eden Designer Dress hire. 

In addition to this you agree that you will be charged for any loss of income incurred by Eden Designer dress hire because of damages impacting future hires. 

You acknowledge that the cost of dry cleaning is included in the hire price and will be managed by Eden Designer Dress hire. Please ensure that the item is returned unwashed. 

By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you agree to return the hired item in person to Goldiluxx, Shop 3C Quay North Building, 59 Clarence St, Port Macquarie NSW 2444 during the following opening hours: 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday. 10am-3pm Saturdays. It is your responsibility to ensure the item is returned within the four days hire period. If you fail to return the hired item within the specified time frame, a late fee of $30 will be charged for each additional day until the item is returned. If your failure to return the item effects future bookings, you will be charged the full rental fee on top of the original rental fee to compensate the loss in income to Eden Designer Dress hire as well as the inconvenience caused to other costumers. 

For insurance purposes you agree that Eden designer dress hire will reattain a copy of your credit card details for the duration of the hire period. This is done to ensure the security and protection of both parties involved. 

If you fail to comply with the terms and conditions of the hire agreement, including, but not limited to timely returns and/or damaged items Eden designer dress hire reserves the right to take the necessary steps to collect any outstanding amounts owed to us. This may include, but is not limited to, legal action and the use of a third-party collection’s agency. 

Eden Designer Dress hire reserves the right to make amendments or modifications to these terms and conditions at any time without prior notification to you. It is your responsibility to regularly review the terms and conditions and stay up to date on any changes. Continued use of our service following any revisions constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms and conditions.
